Restorabilia has been making bespoke, quality, wooden furniture for over 30 years and is still owned and run by the family who started it.
In the early years, we, Nick and Marcelle Harding, began a furniture store by sourcing items of furniture which we lovingly restored to their former glory, hence the name. As the business grew we developed our workshop and started manufacturing furniture and decor items from scratch, mostly in the traditional style that we were by now familiar with. Nowadays we do very little restoration work and focus our attention primarily on our manufacturing and developing our product offering.
We have not deviated from this ethos and steadily expanded our range of products to cater for the demands of our growing base of discerning clients. We have always worked with wood and as we are now suitably well equipped, we continue to do so. Having our workshop, and showroom on the same premises allows the team to work seamlessly together and offer our customers bespoke pieces that are designed and built to their exact specifications.
Restorabilia employs three salespeople, Sandy, Jill and Jane and the workshop has a full complement. Andre the workshop manager, heads up the team with carpenters Noeg and De Villiers. Arnold is in charge of preparing the wood while Joyce and Elizabet are in the sanding department. The finishing department comprises brothers Johnson (who doubles as our driver) Richard, Gift, Armien and Lamek. Zandi keeps everything tidy.
Many of the staff at Restorabilia have been with us for over 20 years and have therefore become adept at performing their respective tasks to a high level whilst intrenching themselves in our family. We take pride in what they do and this manifests in a happy work environment and one where quality is the central tenet of the business.
